He confirmed that the Alexandria Governorate, in cooperation with state agencies, ministries, and concerned parties, is providing all its capabilities to support the conference and the success of its outcomes, particularly in education, youth, culture, tourism, and development.
The conference discusses the reality of Egyptian identity and the challenges it faces, as well as the role of cultural, educational, and religious institutions in enhancing it. The impact of digital, economic, and social transformations on Egyptian society is also being examined. Sessions include scientific discussions and debates on national identity from political, cultural, social, and economic perspectives.
Over three days, conference sessions will address topics such as describing the current situation of identity elements in Egypt, risks to national identity, and the role of institutions and policies in shaping it. Issues related to art, heritage, education, family, civil society, and innovation are also on the agenda. The conference aims to produce recommendations and a document that will guide efforts to preserve and promote national identity.
The conference will conclude on September 23 with a presentation of recommendations and the launch of the "Alexandria Library Document on National Identity." This will be followed by a musical performance by artist Marwa Nagy, accompanied by the Alexandria Library Youth Orchestra, led by Shadi Abdel Salam, at the main hall of the conference center.
Key stakeholders, including Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Abdel Aziz Kansoua, and Alexandria Library Director Dr. Ahmed Zayed, are participating in the conference.
