The Alexandria Businessmen's Association, led by Hitham Al-Qayar, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, recently met with Dag Julin Denfelt, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Egypt, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting aimed to explore opportunities for enhancing cooperation between the Egyptian and Swedish business communities and opening up new areas for partnerships and investments. The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Directors, heads of committees, deputies, and several members of the Association.

The meeting focused on discussing opportunities for commercial cooperation and organizing bilateral business meetings (B2B) between Egyptian and Swedish companies. Al-Qayar welcomed the Swedish Ambassador, emphasizing the importance of the meeting in promoting new partnerships and organizing bilateral business meetings. He highlighted that the Association's members represent various sectors that can support commercial cooperation between the two countries.

The Alexandria Businessmen's Association expressed interest in establishing sustainable projects, including the VTEC and MEDC projects. Al-Qayar stressed the importance of considering climate change challenges when implementing new projects and enhancing commercial cooperation between Egypt and Sweden. The Association aims to provide sustainable sources and support the country's development efforts.

Ambassador Denfelt revealed that there are efforts to encourage Swedish companies to establish a presence in Alexandria. He invited the Association to expand cooperation in several sectors, including water, innovation, artificial intelligence, energy, and logistics. The Swedish Ambassador emphasized the importance of holding joint meetings between the business communities in both countries.

Denfelt also highlighted his participation in the Techne Summit in Alexandria, a international event that focuses on entrepreneurship. He expressed the Swedish side's interest in start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises. The meeting provided a platform for discussing opportunities for cooperation and exchange between Egyptian and Swedish companies.

Michael Stoll, Commercial Counselor and Head of the Promotion Section, called on the Alexandria Businessmen's Association to organize bilateral meetings between representatives of the Egyptian and Swedish business sectors. This would help enhance communication and open up new horizons for cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to follow up on the discussions and explore opportunities for cooperation between the Alexandria Businessmen's Association and Swedish companies.
