Al-Azhar University has announced the launch of an initiative called "Adopting Gifted and Innovative Students" to discover and support talented students. The initiative's first step will be to conduct an electronic survey of Al-Azhar students to identify gifted and innovative students. The survey will help create a comprehensive database of talented students, which will enable the university to provide them with suitable programs and support. The database will be classified by field, including scientific, innovative, technological, cultural, literary, artistic, and sports.
Dr. Ahmed Kshak, Director of the Student Care Department at Al-Azhar University, stated that the initiative aims to provide a platform for gifted students to develop their skills. He added that the university will launch a "Gifted Al-Azhar Students Forum" during the 2026/2027 academic year to showcase and honor outstanding students.
The initiative is part of Al-Azhar University's efforts to support the state's goals, including the development of a sustainable system for gifted and innovative students.
