The winter air travel season between France and Algeria is set to begin on October 25 and will run until March 27, 2027. Several airlines, including Air Algérie, Transavia, ASL Airlines France, and Volotea, have announced their schedules and fares for the period. This winter season coincides with the French school holidays, from October 17 to November 2, making it a busy period for travel.

Air Algérie, the national carrier, will operate flights to 10 French cities this winter: Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Lille, Nice, Nantes, Strasbourg, and Montpellier. The airline will maintain its Strasbourg-Alger route with two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Additionally, Air Algérie has opened a direct line between Alger and Berlin, which will remain in operation throughout the winter.

Transavia, a low-cost airline, has started selling tickets for the winter season, with fares starting from €49 for flights on certain routes. The airline will operate flights from seven French cities to six Algerian cities, offering a total of 19 routes. Transavia will introduce the Airbus A320neo on some of its Paris-Orly-Alger flights, replacing the Boeing 737-800.

ASL Airlines France has also opened sales for its winter program, which includes 15 routes between seven French airports and seven Algerian cities. The airline's main base for flights to Algeria will be Lille, with five destinations available. ASL Airlines France had previously extended its flights for the Toussaint holidays.

Volotea, however, has reduced its winter schedule, with fewer frequencies on some routes. The airline's Marseille-Béjaïa line will operate with only two flights per month in January and February 2027. On the other hand, Volotea will maintain its seven weekly flights on the Marseille-Alger and Marseille-Oran routes.

Other airlines, such as Air France and Vueling, have also announced their winter schedules. Air France will operate flights from Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle to Alger, Oran, and Constantine, with prices starting from €141 for a return ticket. Vueling, which had previously operated direct flights from Marseille to Algeria, will now offer flights with a connection in Barcelona.

Travelers are advised to book early, as the Toussaint holidays and year-end festivities are expected to be busy periods. Comparing airport options and monitoring flight schedules can also help secure better deals. Additionally, passengers should be aware of their rights in case of flight cancellations or disruptions.
