Algerian national carrier Air Algérie has announced a major commercial push with discounted prices on over 30 international destinations across 22 countries. This move comes as the airline expands its fleet with new aircraft from Airbus and Boeing and adopts a new global management strategy. The airline aims to position Algiers airport as a major international hub and connection point between Africa and the rest of the world.

The discounted destinations include six African cities: Tunis, Cairo, Dakar, Nouakchott, Niamey, and Abidjan, with prices starting from 27,400 Algerian dinars for a return ticket to Tunis. In Europe, cities such as Vienna, Frankfurt, Budapest, Milan, Rome, London, Lisbon, Geneva, Rotterdam, Brussels, Madrid, and Valencia are offered at reduced prices. Specifically, a return ticket to Barcelona starts at 20,770 Algerian dinars, while a ticket to Valence starts at 22,875 Algerian dinars with checked baggage.

Air Algérie is also promoting its transatlantic route, offering discounted return tickets from Algiers to Montreal starting at 99,040 Algerian dinars and from Montreal to Algiers from 985 Canadian dollars. The airline has expanded its reach in Asia with discounted flights to Istanbul, Turkey, and cities in China, including Beijing and Guangzhou, as well as Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Doha in Qatar.

The promotional period for booking these discounted flights runs until October 31, 2026, with travel dates spanning from late September 2026 to March 27, 2027. The reduced prices are available for return tickets in economy class only. Examples of discounted fares include Algiers to Doha from 71,442 Algerian dinars and Algiers to Guangzhou from 116,448 Algerian dinars.

Air Algérie's new pricing strategy reflects a shift towards a more global approach, moving beyond its traditional stronghold in France. The airline is targeting passengers traveling between Asia, Africa, and Canada, offering competitive fares for flights with layovers in Algiers. This approach aims to increase the airline's presence in the international market.

The promotion includes flights from various European cities, with prices varying based on whether passengers opt for checked baggage or carry-on luggage only. For instance, a return ticket from Rome to Algiers starts at 148 euros without baggage, while a ticket from London Heathrow to Algiers begins at 250 pounds, also without baggage.

With this extensive promotional campaign, Air Algérie is poised to attract a broader customer base and solidify its position as a major player in the global aviation industry. The airline's strategic expansion and competitive pricing are set to enhance its connectivity across continents.
