The Aga Khan Health Service Tanzania (AKHS,T) has launched Women's and Men's Wellness Packages to encourage regular health checks and early detection of illnesses. These packages will be available at the Aga Khan Specialist Clinic in Masaki and the Aga Khan Clinic in Mbezi, Dar es Salaam. The initiative aims to promote preventive healthcare and help individuals assess their health status ahead of the festive season.

Professor Muzdalifat Abeid, medical director and head of obstetrics and gynaecology at Aga Khan Hospital Dar es Salaam, emphasized the importance of regular health checks in protecting individuals and families. During a visit by the Diplomatic Spouses Association (DSA) to the Masaki clinic on October 27, 2026, she urged people to prioritize preventive care, health education, and early professional advice.

The visit by the DSA included tours of healthcare facilities, presentations on women's and children's health, and discussions with medical professionals about services available at Aga Khan Hospital Dar es Salaam and the Masaki clinic. The Diplomatic Spouses Association chairperson, Ratna Jatmiko, said the visit provided an opportunity to learn about healthcare services, disease prevention, and the importance of seeking medical advice early.

The Aga Khan Health Service Tanzania chief executive officer, Sisawo Konteh, stated that the institution would continue working with stakeholders and communities to promote disease prevention and improve access to quality healthcare. He encouraged individuals and families to make regular health checks part of their routine to identify conditions that may require further monitoring or treatment.

The new wellness packages offer men and women an opportunity to undergo routine health assessments ahead of the year-end holiday period. Although the institution did not specify the cost of the packages or the individual tests included in each, they are designed to promote preventive healthcare and help individuals take proactive steps to safeguard their health.

Professor Abeid reiterated the institution's commitment to providing quality, patient-centered services to help individuals and families prioritize their health. The Aga Khan Health Service Tanzania aims to raise awareness about women's and children's health, encourage informed health decisions, and emphasize the importance of regular check-ups and early intervention.

The institution's efforts to promote preventive healthcare and improve access to quality healthcare services are ongoing. By working with stakeholders and communities, the Aga Khan Health Service Tanzania seeks to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of individuals and families in Tanzania.
