The Transmission Company of Nigeria has announced a scheduled power outage in several parts of Abuja to allow for preventive maintenance on a major transformer. This maintenance exercise is set to take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. As a result, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company will be unable to supply electricity to customers in several areas, including Wuse Zones 1–7, the Sheraton Hotel area, the Central Business District, Utako, Jabi, and surrounding areas during the period.
