Hon. Dennis Adikwuru, a seasoned politician and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, has expressed his views on the current state of Nigerian politics. As the Convener/National Secretary of the Igbo People's Action Congress (IPAC), Adikwuru shared his thoughts on the disagreement between the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and the APC Governors Forum. He believes that Wike's actions have breached democratic ethics.
Adikwuru, a former member of the Imo State Presidential Campaign Council, criticized Wike's Rainbow Coalition, describing it as a self-serving proposal aimed at expanding Wike's political influence beyond Rivers State. He expressed his support for the APC Governors Forum, led by Imo State governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, for rejecting Wike's offer. According to Adikwuru, Wike's actions are undemocratic and abnormal.
The APC chieftain also shared his views on the possibility of an alliance between the APC and PDP, stating that today's PDP is an addendum to APC. He believes that Wike has reduced PDP to a support group working for President Tinubu's second-term election. Adikwuru's comments come as Wike accused the APC Governors of being lazy, a claim that Adikwuru disagreed with, describing APC governors as more dedicated than those from other parties.
Adikwuru also discussed the influence of Wike in the South-South region, stating that the region is not under the control of Wike or any single individual.
