The Adamawa State Government has encouraged members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) posted to the state to utilize their service year to develop entrepreneurial skills in their chosen fields. This advice was given by the state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Fatauta, who represented Governor Ahmadu Fintiri at the Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 orientation course for the 1,428 corps members deployed to the state.

According to Professor Fatauta, many past corps members have successfully transitioned from their service year to becoming entrepreneurs and employers of labor. She emphasized that although the one-year service may seem short, the impact made during this period can be far-reaching and lasting. The Deputy Governor encouraged the corps members to approach their Primary Place of Assignment and Community Development Service projects with seriousness.

Professor Fatauta congratulated the corps members and urged them to uphold the noble values of patriotism, commitment, and service to humanity. The Adamawa State NYSC Coordinator, Osoroh Caroline Chinedu, acknowledged the government’s sustained support for the NYSC scheme in the state, particularly its commitment to the safety and well-being of corps members.

The orientation course was attended by the Adamawa State Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman, who administered the oath of allegiance to the corps members. This ceremony marked the beginning of the corps members' service year in Adamawa State.
