The Adaklu District Assembly (ADA) is working to complete several development projects, including abandoned classroom blocks, in collaboration with Mr. Governs Kwame Agbodza, Minister of Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Adaklu. Mr. Jerry Yao Ameko, Adaklu District Chief Executive, disclosed this information to the Ghana News Agency during the commissioning and handing over of a classroom block at Adaklu Kpatovoe. The new classroom block, funded by GETFund, features an office, store, and staff common room. This development is part of a broader effort to enhance educational facilities in the district.
In addition to completing abandoned classroom blocks, the Adaklu District Assembly is building new ones and teachers' bungalows to address the issue of schools under trees and provide better accommodation for teachers. Beneficiary communities for the six-unit teachers' bungalows include Adaklu Kodzobi, Adaklu Dawanu, Adaklu Wumenu, and Adaklu Kpogadzi. These new facilities are expected to improve supervision and monitoring of pupils by teachers.
The District Chief Executive emphasized the importance of good classroom blocks in promoting education, teaching, and learning. He encouraged parents to support their children's education, highlighting the advantages of acquiring education. Mr. Ameko also urged residents to exercise patience as the road from Adaklu Waya through Adaklu Kpatovoe to Waya would soon be awarded on contract.
Engineers from the Assembly have assessed the Adaklu Kpatovoe Junior High School block and confirmed that work would soon commence to bring it up to standard.
