Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, a basketball enthusiast and institutional management expert, has announced his bid for the leadership of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF). He also highlighted his involvement in scholarships, skills development, fellowship programs, empowerment initiatives, and community engagement.
The aspiring NBBF president emphasized the need to connect basketball development with opportunities for young people. He noted that young players, coaches, and professional players require a functioning system, pathways, and support. Abdullahi called for increased investment and visibility for women's basketball, alongside stronger structures for clubs and administrators to promote professionalism and competence.
