The third Russia-Africa Summit and humanitarian forum commenced in Moscow, bringing together representatives from 48 countries, including 22 at the level of heads of state or government. Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, attended the event. The summit aims to strengthen cooperation and partnership between Russia and African nations.

He was briefed on cutting-edge technologies in key sectors such as energy, natural resource exploitation, food, medicine, digital infrastructure, and finance. The Russian president, Vladimir Poutine, and Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye, current chair of the African Union, co-chaired the plenary session.
In his address, President Poutine emphasized that Russia-Africa trade and economic relations continue to grow despite external pressures and sanctions. He noted that Russian companies operate successfully on the African continent, contributing to its development.
