A 34-year-old woman, Ubah Khalif Omar, died after being bitten by a suspected poisonous snake at her home in Ijara area, Garissa county. The incident occurred on Friday, October 2, 2026, at about 4 pm in Bullagolol Location, Ijara Ward. According to police, Ubah was taken to Ijara Health Centre for treatment before being transferred to a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) camp at Ruqa, where she received further treatment.
