Twenty-seven families have taken possession of their new homes at the Ibudo Wura housing community along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos. The handover ceremony was a moment of excitement and relief for the new homeowners, who had invested in the properties and were eager to move in. The development is a significant milestone for the families, who had been waiting for their homes to be completed. The Ibudo Wura housing community is one of several projects undertaken by Mixta Africa, a leading real estate developer in Nigeria.

Among the new homeowners who received their keys was Mrs. Yetunde Oyegunle, who heard about Ibudo Wura through a friend. She expressed her excitement and relief at finally getting to move into her new home, describing the estate as beautiful and praising the finishing of her home and the surrounding environment. Oyegunle said she was happy to have invested in the property and would recommend the developers to anyone interested in owning a home. Her experience is a testament to the trust that homebuyers have placed in Mixta Africa.

Another new homeowner, Mrs. Soprinye Banjo, was also impressed with the quality of the property and the environment. She had interacted with the engineers and facility managers at the estate and was reassured about the environment her family would be moving into. Banjo described the property as good quality for the price and praised the developers for doing an excellent job. Her comments reflect the high standards that Mixta Africa has set for its developments.

The handover brings to 192 the number of completed homes delivered at Ibudo Wura across Phases 1 and 2, according to Mixta Africa. The developer sees the occasion as an opportunity to emphasize the importance of delivery in maintaining the confidence of homebuyers. Group Chief Commercial Officer of Mixta Africa, Tola Akinsulire, said handing over keys was one of the most important moments in the relationship between a developer and its customers.

Akinsulire stressed that buying a home is a significant financial and emotional commitment, and customers need confidence that what they have paid for will be delivered. He emphasized that Mixta Africa's responsibility is to keep earning that trust through consistent delivery across its communities. The company's track record of delivering homes across Africa, with over 30,000 homes delivered to date, supports its commitment to homeownership.

The financing options available to buyers at Ibudo Wura have also played a crucial role in helping them achieve their dream of property ownership. Buyers were able to access financing with as little as 10 percent equity payable over six months, at an interest rate of 9.75 percent per annum, with repayment tenors ranging from five to 20 years. The financing is available through the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI) Real Estate Investment Fund (MREIF).

With more homes still available at the estate, prospective buyers can purchase one-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom row houses, and H-type units. Available units start from N58.319 million for outright purchase, while six- and 12-month installment payment options are also available. For the 27 new homeowners, however, the journey to homeownership has finally come to an end, and they can now call their new homes their own.
