The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, a political mobilisation group campaigning for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027, has begun distributing campaign equipment across Nigeria's 36 states. This initiative aims to strengthen the movement's grassroots structures and support mobilisation efforts for Tinubu's re-election bid. The distribution includes campaign vehicles, public-address speakers, generators, and other operational equipment.
According to Amb. Precious Emmanuel Ine, South-East Zonal Coordinator of the movement, the equipment distribution is part of efforts to improve coordination and communication among the movement's structures at the state, local government, ward, and polling unit levels. Ine disclosed this in a statement, highlighting the importance of effective grassroots mobilisation in the upcoming elections.
The South-East zone of the movement remains committed to strengthening its structures across Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo states. The zone aims to promote discipline, unity, peaceful political participation, and community engagement. Ine urged coordinators, executives, and members to use the allocated equipment responsibly and accountably, stressing that effective grassroots mobilisation requires not only personnel but also adequate logistics, communication tools, and coordination across communities.
Ine emphasised that equipment alone does not build a movement, but rather people, structures, leadership, and discipline are essential for sustainability. She commended several individuals who supported the movement's organisational and mobilisation activities, including High Chief Engr. Dr Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited; Chief Dr Dennis Burutu Otuaro, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme; and Engr. Dr Matthew Tonlagha, Chief Executive Officer of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited.
The zonal coordinator also acknowledged the contributions of the movement's Principal Chief, Chief Edgar Daniel Biu, and its Grand Patron, High Chief Dr Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo. Ine credited Biu with supporting the movement's organisational development and coordination, while acknowledging Ekpemupolo's patronage and support for its expansion. The South-East leadership will continue to strengthen communication between the zonal office and coordinators at various levels as preparations for the 2027 elections continue.
The movement's activities will focus on grassroots organisation, effective communication, peaceful democratic participation, and community engagement. The statement also acknowledged the contributions of the movement's national leadership, state and local government coordinators, ward executives, volunteers, and supporters. The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement's stated slogan is "Door to Door! Every Door Matters!" as it campaigns for Tinubu's re-election in 2027.
The distribution of mobilisation equipment across Nigeria's 36 states is a significant step in the movement's efforts to ensure a strong grassroots presence ahead of the 2027 general elections. With a focus on coordination, communication, and community engagement, the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement aims to play a crucial role in supporting Tinubu's re-election bid.
