The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, Dr. Moses Paul, has issued a stern warning to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bar. Nyesom Wike, stating that he will not be allowed to win the FCT for the All Progressive Congress (APC) during the 2027 general election. This warning comes after Wike expressed his confidence in winning the FCT for APC, saying he would resign if Tinubu loses in 2027.

Dr. Paul, popularly known as Dr. Mo in political circles, made this statement after meeting with some supporters of Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). According to Paul, Wike is not grounded in FCT politics and has no chance of winning the FCT for APC. He also pointed out that Wike's claim of winning Abuja is an impossibility, given the over 2 million votes Peter Obi received in the previous election.

Paul accused Wike of attempting to rig the election, stating that those who rigged the previous election have come out to claim they won. He emphasized that this time, the Obidients will not allow Wike to succeed in his alleged plans to rig the election. Paul also expressed his familiarity with Abuja, having studied up to his PhD level in the capital city, and claimed that Wike does not know Abuja as much as he claims.

The Obidient Movement Coordinator also criticized Wike's performance in the FCT, saying that what Wike is doing is nothing compared to what he should be doing. He even jokingly referred to Wike as the AMAC chairman, implying that Wike's influence is limited to a specific area. Paul also questioned why Kuje Area council chairman, Hon. Danjuma Shekwolo, and other APC chieftains who threatened non-APC members over the forthcoming elections have not been arrested and charged with inciting violence.

Paul described the forthcoming election as a battle between Nigerian citizens and the "rogue government." He cited instances of APC members threatening opposition members, including a senator who vowed to kill opposition members and a leader in Edo State who threatened to show AK-47 to those who won't vote for APC. Paul stressed that such actions are criminal and that those responsible should be in jail.

The Obidient Movement Coordinator also addressed the youths, challenging them to demand a better country and "take it back from the elders." He expressed disappointment that the youths are not angry enough to effect change in the country. Paul's statements have made it clear that the Obidients will be a force to be reckoned with in the 2027 general election.

The warning issued by Dr. Paul has added to the growing tension in the FCT ahead of the 2027 general election. Wike's claim of winning Abuja for APC has been met with resistance from the Obidients, who are determined to ensure that Peter Obi's supporters are not disenfranchised. The development has also raised concerns about the possibility of violence in the FCT during the election.
