The All Progressives Congress House of Representatives candidate for the Idemili North/Idemili South Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Kingsley Ezekwelu, has announced plans to organise a six-month workshop to reorient and empower youths. The programme aims to transform and refocus youths on productive pursuits through legitimate means. Ezekwelu made this announcement at a thank-you rally in Awka-Ettiti, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Ezekwelu attributed the growing moral decadence among youths to the quest for material wealth, stressing that a change of mindset is necessary before empowerment initiatives can be effective. He noted that many youths have abandoned core values, norms, and work ethic due to the emergence of the quick-money syndrome. The proposed workshop seeks to address this issue and refocus youths on hard work, merit, perseverance, and loyalty.

The six-month programme will focus on reorienting, redeveloping, and refocusing youths towards rebuilding their lives and anchoring it on hard work and legitimate means. Ezekwelu emphasized that empowering youths requires a change of mindset, adding that support given to youths with a reoriented mindset will be used for human capital development. He believes that with this vision, he can build a vibrant and prosperous society.

Ezekwelu appealed to constituents to elect him to the House of Representatives, promising to provide quality representation and attract the dividends of democracy to the constituency. He expressed confidence that with the support of parents and stakeholders, the six-month programme will be achieved before empowerment programmes commence. The programme aims to ensure sustainability and empower youths with skills acquisition and financial support.

A prominent leader in Awka-Ettiti, Ebuka Okeke, popularly known as Alhaji Saint, outlined reasons the community should support and vote for APC candidates in the 2027 general elections. Okeke cited the deteriorating condition of roads across the town and the need for federal civil service employment opportunities for unemployed graduates. He pledged to deploy his political connections to secure victory for Ezekwelu.

The thank-you rally was attended by the Anambra State APC Zonal Vice Chairman (Central), Chief Mommife Azubuike, and other party stalwarts. Ezekwelu's campaign is gaining momentum, with stakeholders expressing support for his vision and leadership. The community is eagerly awaiting the dividends of democracy, and Ezekwelu's programme aims to address their needs.

Ezekwelu's initiative has been well-received by the community, with many expressing hope for a better future. The six-month programme is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of youths in the constituency. With Ezekwelu's leadership, the community is optimistic about the prospect of development and progress.
