One hundred and sixty-two security personnel from different Rwandan agencies have completed a four-month leadership training program known as the Tactical Command Course. The program aimed to enhance their leadership skills and ability to handle daily security challenges. The course was completed on October 11, 2026, and was attended by officers from various security agencies, including the Rwanda Police, the National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS), and the Rwanda Correctional Services (RCS).
The graduation ceremony was attended by CP Sano Vincent, the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations, who urged the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills gained during the training to improve their performance. He emphasized the importance of making informed decisions and seeking solutions to security challenges. CP Sano Vincent also highlighted the need for the officers to work together and share knowledge to effectively address security issues.
The Tactical Command Course was designed to equip security personnel with the necessary skills to handle complex security challenges. The course covered topics such as leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving. CP Sano Vincent commended the graduates for their hard work and dedication, saying that they are now better equipped to handle their responsibilities.
The graduates included 147 police officers, five employees from the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB), five from the Rwanda Correctional Services (RCS), and five from the National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS). The course was conducted in collaboration with various security agencies to ensure that the officers receive comprehensive training.
CP Mujiji Rafiki, the Commandant of the Gishari Police Academy, congratulated the graduates, saying that the training will help them to improve their performance and contribute to the maintenance of peace and security in Rwanda. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning and professional development in the security sector.
