The Agatu United for Wadada 2027, a political grassroots mobilisation group for Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, has empowered over 100 vulnerable persons in Loko Area Administrative Council of Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State with over one million naira in cash. This initiative is part of the group’s commitment to bringing relief to struggling families and deepening awareness of Senator Ahmed Wadada’s governorship bid among the Agatu community in the area.
The State Coordinator of the group, Mr Godspower Ede, stated that Wadada’s project is every Agatu man’s business because of his ancestral roots, being a grandson of the Agatu nation. He called for massive support for Wadada and all APC candidates on the ballot. Ede also urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the cash.
The Administrator of Loko Area Administrative Council, Mr Shuaibu Loko, and the Secretary of Nasarawa Local Government Council, Mrs Aisha Isa-Idoma, commended the leadership and members of Agatu United for Wadada for championing Wadada’s governorship campaign. They lauded the cash empowerment initiative and urged beneficiaries and other Agatu people to vote for their own in 2027 to attract more government presence to their localities.
Other notable attendees, including Mr James Amedu, Chairman of the Agatu Cultural and Development Association, Nasarawa LGA, Special Assistant to Senator Wadada, Mr Solomon Daniel, Mr Usman Ogba, and Hajiya Maryam Otache, described the event as historic. They lauded the leadership of the group for embarking on the outreach.
The group also inaugurated coordinators and women leaders for the three electoral wards of Loko, Guto/Aisa, and Tunga/Bakono to deepen mobilisation for Wadada in the locality during the event. This move aims to strengthen the group’s presence and support for Wadada’s governorship bid.
